Dear Wisconsin Humanities Friends and Supporters,There’s anticipation in the air in September -- you know, that back-to-school feeling! I’m eagerly anticipating the launch of our listening sessions on Sept. 30 -- the start of a great learning experience. Thank you to the 48 generous donors who contributed over $6,000 to our We’re Listening, Wisconsin campaign! With your support, an expert is creating a how-to guide for listening session hosts. I can't wait for those conversations. And your gifts will help us travel from the shores of Lake Michigan to Lake Superior, and communities in between. The listening sessions will energize and inform me, our board, and you -- our old and new statewide partners and supporters who care so deeply about the humanities and their contribution to healthy civic life in Wisconsin. I'm eager to deepen connections and learn from so many amazing people -- people as passionate as I am about protecting the history and culture of every Wisconsinite. Those stories and traditions are fundamental to how we live our lives together now, and in the future. So again, thank you to everyone who made a contribution! And thanks, too, to each and every person reading this. Whether you were able to make a financial contribution or not, you are a valued member of our Wisconsin Humanities family, and your care is also a gift I treasure. Dena |
