Key Ingredients: America by Food
is a traveling exhibition all about food!
October 2010 - August 2011
Consider the wealth of history and culture that shapes our dining habits, taste preferences, recipes, menus, ceremonies, and etiquette! Key Ingredients explores the connections between Americans and the foods they produce, prepare, preserve, and present at the table.
The Wisconsin tour of Key Ingredients is a project of the Wisconsin Humanities Council, in partnership with the six hosting organizations and communities. Each of the six locations will feature displays depicting their local and regional traditions to add local flavor to the larger national-themed exhibit. A variety of regional programs and presentations will also complement the exhibition in each location.
Key Ingredients: America by Food is a traveling exhibition about food culture produced by the Smithsonian Institution's Museum on Main Street program.
From October 20, 2010 through August of 2011, we'll be exploring the Key Ingredients that define the unique flavors of Wisconsin. Contact the Wisconsin Humanities Council for more information at 608.262.0706.
You are invited to join the fun at all six stops on the tour!
